Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights Blog - November 2020

Hi there

Do hope you are all keeping well, wow, where did October go to! I just blinked and it is time again for Kylie's blog hop!

I am so excited to be joining in again with this really cute set of cards using the Lovely You stamp set, the really fun thing about these cards is that you can get 3 out of one sheet of A4 cardstock - woo hoo!

You just cut 1.2 cms off the width to give you a piece of cardstock that is 27.7 x 19.8 cms, turn to the long side and cut three pieces at 9.9 cms, score in half at 9.9 - this will give you three 9.9 cms square cards that will easily fit into a 105 cms or 4" square envelope :)

I stamped on to Soft Sea Foam and then dry embossed the panel with the Subtles 3D embossing folder.

The Melon Mambo flowers were stamped separately, fussy cut and attached afterwards.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set and is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink.

If you have any queries about my cards, please do contact me.

I would really appreciate it if you could vote for me and four other amazing cards as well. Thank you.

Take care and have fun getting inky!

Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights Blog - October 2020

Hi there

I do hope that you are all keeping well, I am very excited to be joining Kylie's International Highlights Blog again this month :)

I saw this really fun One Sheet Wonder (OSW) using 6" x 6" paper from Melissa Miller over at Mel's Card Corner, she has done a fabulous tutorial showing how to cut the patterned paper.

I used the lovely 'Tis the Season' DSP with a Whisper White card base and Just Jade cardstock layer under the patterned paper.

This design makes four cards, you can make them identical, but I decided to change them up  a bit between portrait and landscape with different embossing folders and elements on the front! :)

My first card uses the leaf from Very Versailles and my second, Free As A Bird.

For my third card I went with Tasteful Touches.

And finally for my last card, the beautiful Forever Fern.

I hope that you give this fun design a go!

Please vote for me and four other lovely ladies, there are so many wonderful ideas to inspire you :)
Take care and have fun getting inky!

Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights - September 2020

Hi there

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today, hope you are all well :) Today I am participating in Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights Blog, which is showcasing Thank You/Gratitude.

I had so much fun making my cards, I started with an A4 sheet of Whisper White cardstock that I stamped all over with images from Comfort & Hope, Very Versailles, Peaceful Boughs,  Lovely You and Posted For You.

I used Soft Sea Foam, So Saffron, Bumble Bee, Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Cider, Terracotta Tile, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Merry Merlot and Smoky Slate!  Wow, I really did get carried away with lots of different inks...

Here is the end result
I then cut it up and made five cards!

My first card is a slimline one, I stamped a few leaves on to the right-hand side of the Cajun Craze card base, layered a stamped panel cut to 14.3 x 6 cms on to Bumble Bee cardstock lauer and punch out a sentiment label using the timeless punch.  My sentiment is from Peaceful Moments and stamped in Cajun Craze.

For my second card, I used a Cinnamon Cider card base, a full sized stamped panel 14.3 x 10 cms, some ribbon and a sentiment from Lovely You.  I fussy cut a few element to embelish the label which was punched from the Label Me Fancy punch.

Card 3 is a 'Z' fold Bumble Bee card base with three stamped panels with the jar from Flowers For All Seasons punched out with the co-ordinating punch and some fussy cut elements. The fussy cut Hello sentiment is from Grace's Garden.

Card 4 - Is a cute design from Lisa Curcio, she does wonderful tutorials, please pop over to see her fabulous tutorial on how to make this card here  :)

My card base is in Garden Green, with a stamped panel 13.6 x 4.2 cms layered on to Bumble Bee. There is an off cut strip on the inside whisper white panel and my sentiment comes from Lovely You and the die cut from Tasteful Labels dies.

And finally card 5 has a Crumb Cake base, stamped down the left-hand side with the script from Very Versailles in Sahara Sand. My stamped panel is 14.85 x 6.5 cms with two strips of Cajun Craze 14.85 x 0.5 cms on each side.  The sentiment is from Peaceful Moments and punched out with the Label me Lovely punch.

On the inside I used up my three small leftover pieces and so there was nothing wasted! Woo hoo

I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I have created with my One Sheet Wonder, inspired by the lovely Ruth Trice Magness over at Artful Stamping with Ruth, please do pop over and be wow'ed by her amazing creations :)

I would really appreciate it, if you could vote for me and 4 other designs from some inspiring crafters ;)

Thank you, take care and have fun getting inky!

Sailing Home - twice!

Hi there

I do hope that you are all keeping well, thankfully it is a lot cooler today after the few hot days we had last week! Well, hot for us here in the UK! Lol!  We don't usually have 30+ for several continuous days...

The heat really was draining and I found I could only manage to just sit and watch YouTube videos on card making (naturally, what else would I want to watch! Tee hee).

I watched a lovely tutorial from Creative Chelsey on how to make two backgrounds at the same time that Chelsey called smooshing :) Please do go over to Chelsey's YouTube channel and watch her lovely tutorials :) I am now making my way through them and I am sure I will CASE more ideas and techniques from Chelsey ;)

Chelsey used the beautiful Gathered Together stamp set and the Gathered Leaves Dies for her two amazing cards.

I decided to use Sailing Home and the co-ordinating dies for my cards.  I also embossed my two panels with the Seabed embossing folder for extra texture :)  Here are my two cards...

This is such a fun technique, I do hope you watch Chelsey's tutorial and give it a  go!

If you have any questions about any of the products I have used, please let me know, I would be happy to help you.

Take care and have fun getting inky.

Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights - August 2020

Hi there

Wow, where has the month gone!  I must be getting old... time seems to just fly by! Lol

We still seem to be having good weather here in Coggeshall, which is great as things always seem better when the sun is shining :)
I really had fun making my card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights this month.  I have used the Tasteful Touches stamp set with the jar from Jar of Flowers and a sentiment from Lovely You! Wow, I have really mixed up my sets this time around, but they are all so versatile and fun!

I also used a couple of new In Colours in my stamping - Bumble Bee, Just Jade and Cinnamon Cider, I am just loving the new In Colours, they seem to go with everything...

Here is my card, I made the pattern down the side using the  patterned papers from Jar of Flowers and the Tailored Tag punch.

I hope you enjoy looking through all the fabulous cards, there is so much inspiration from so many talented crafter's.

I would appreciate it if you could vote for me and four other people, many thanks and enjoy the blog hop.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about my card.

Take care and have fun getting inky ;)

Mini Gatefold Pocket

Hi there

Do hope you are all keeping well :)

I had so much fun making this cute mini Gatefold Pocket from Sandy over at Septaria18 :) Sandy's tutorials are fabulous, so clear and easy to follow, please do go and see how she made this pocket and her other super cute projects :)

I have used a piece of In Good Taste DSP  (9" x 3.5").  I also used a piece of Misty Moonlight In Colour DSP.  Here is  the closed pocket, decorated with the flower from the Four Season Floral stamp set in the mini beginner's brochure, which I stamped in Misty Moonlight ink and then watercoloured using an aqua painter.

This is the inside when open, showing the pocket and inserts :)

I have used the Envelope Punch Board for this project, I bought mine from Stampin' Up! a while ago, but you can still get them, they are made by We R Memory Keepers.  It is a fun tool to have in your crafty stash.  I am absolutely sure you could make this without one though!

You just cut off the middle tab on one end to create the Gatefold, initially the card does not lay flat, but you just persuade it and help it along with your bone folder!

You can then add the pocket to the center of the gatefold. I used a piece of patterned paper from the Flowers for Every Season (152486) 6" x 6"
Designer Series Paper.

Create whatever inserts you fancy and  your cute mini pocket will be ready to gift or use for yourself!

Hope you enjoyed this project, please do let me know if you have any questions, I would be happy to help you.

Take care and have fun getting inky!

Ruth's cute notecard box

Hi there

Hope you are all keeping well :) my lovely friend, Ruth, over at Crafting4Friends did a Facebook Live session and showed us how to make this super cute pizza style box to hold Stampin' Up! Notecards :) You can see Ruth's box here in Instagram.  This style box is not specifically Ruth's idea as there are many versions out there if you search You Tube or Pintrest! But this one is to Ruth's measurements and it was a lot of fun to make! ;)

I made mine in Crumb Cake cardstock  and decorated it with the In Good Taste DSP patterned paper and the Forever Greenery stamp set.

I have used Very Vanilla notecards to pop inside all monotone, just stamped in Soft Suede ink, using the Comfort & Hope and Posted to You stamp sets.  I love the sentiment 'Sending you a paper hug' :) looking forward to when it can be a real one!

Many thanks for stopping by, take care and have fun getting inky!
