Mini Gatefold Pocket

Hi there

Do hope you are all keeping well :)

I had so much fun making this cute mini Gatefold Pocket from Sandy over at Septaria18 :) Sandy's tutorials are fabulous, so clear and easy to follow, please do go and see how she made this pocket and her other super cute projects :)

I have used a piece of In Good Taste DSP  (9" x 3.5").  I also used a piece of Misty Moonlight In Colour DSP.  Here is  the closed pocket, decorated with the flower from the Four Season Floral stamp set in the mini beginner's brochure, which I stamped in Misty Moonlight ink and then watercoloured using an aqua painter.

This is the inside when open, showing the pocket and inserts :)

I have used the Envelope Punch Board for this project, I bought mine from Stampin' Up! a while ago, but you can still get them, they are made by We R Memory Keepers.  It is a fun tool to have in your crafty stash.  I am absolutely sure you could make this without one though!

You just cut off the middle tab on one end to create the Gatefold, initially the card does not lay flat, but you just persuade it and help it along with your bone folder!

You can then add the pocket to the center of the gatefold. I used a piece of patterned paper from the Flowers for Every Season (152486) 6" x 6"
Designer Series Paper.

Create whatever inserts you fancy and  your cute mini pocket will be ready to gift or use for yourself!

Hope you enjoyed this project, please do let me know if you have any questions, I would be happy to help you.

Take care and have fun getting inky!

Ruth's cute notecard box

Hi there

Hope you are all keeping well :) my lovely friend, Ruth, over at Crafting4Friends did a Facebook Live session and showed us how to make this super cute pizza style box to hold Stampin' Up! Notecards :) You can see Ruth's box here in Instagram.  This style box is not specifically Ruth's idea as there are many versions out there if you search You Tube or Pintrest! But this one is to Ruth's measurements and it was a lot of fun to make! ;)

I made mine in Crumb Cake cardstock  and decorated it with the In Good Taste DSP patterned paper and the Forever Greenery stamp set.

I have used Very Vanilla notecards to pop inside all monotone, just stamped in Soft Suede ink, using the Comfort & Hope and Posted to You stamp sets.  I love the sentiment 'Sending you a paper hug' :) looking forward to when it can be a real one!

Many thanks for stopping by, take care and have fun getting inky!

Using up your scrappy strips!

Hi there

Do hope that you are all keeping well :)   We have had a bit of rain here in Coggeshall, this week has definitely been a bit more cloudy and overcast... more time to craft! ;) tee hee

I don't know about you, but I always seem to have a lot of paper off cuts, especially white ..

I saw this great video on You Tube by Ingrid Blackburn from the Creative Grove, you can see it here

Ingrid showed 14 different ways to use up your paper and card strips, very worthwhile  watching for some great tips :) I thought I would start with Ingrid's tips for white card strips :)

I started by dry embossing various strips in the new Seabed 3D embossing folder, then adhered them to a whisper white card layer with multi purpose glue.

I stamped the beautiful bouquet from Fancy Phrases in Basic Gray ink and coloured it in with watercolour pencils from Stampin' Up!, which gives a lovely delicate look.  The sentiment is from the lovely Comfort & Hope stamp set, which I just love using.

I hope you will visit Ingrid's You Tube channel and see her amazing ideas for using up your paper and card scrappy strips :)

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any queries about my card.

Take care and have fun getting inky ;)

Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights - July 2020

Hi there

Hope you are all keeping well :)

I am delighted to be joining in again with Kylie's International Blog Highlights for July 2020.  The theme is 'Thank You'.  I love making and sending Thank You and other Happy cards in the post :)

My card is a take on Bruno's scrappy technique and the Bargello quilting technique as shown in a card by Tracy Ware (Redsas on Instagram).

I have used small stripes of patterned paper from the Playing with Patterns DSP.  They were adhered using the new adhesive sheets (152334), then cut into strips in the other direction (90°) to the way they were laid down.  Hope that makes sense, easier to do than explain! Lol!

Here is my first try! I felt it needed more definition, hope I managed that in my second attempt!

I would really appreciate it, if you could vote for me ;) ...and four others, by clicking on the link below ;)  Enjoy looking through at all the amazing projects from some very talented crafter's!

Thank you so much and hope you enjoy the rest of the blog hop.

Take care and have fun getting inky.
